I have qualified to Level 3 in Certificate in Counselling Studies and have also completed the training with the Samaritans. These qualifications and experiences have significantly enhanced my listening skills, allowing me to provide effective support to those in need.

During my six years of work at Citizens Advice, I have had the privilege of assisting individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups, addressing a wide range of presenting issues. I have supported clients facing both physical and mental health challenges, and this has allowed me to cultivate a deep sense of empathy whilst engaging meaningfully with those in distress.

Alongside the above career experiences in supporting a diverse range of issues, my personal experiences allow me to offer specific support in several key areas:

  • As a carer of an autistic family member, I can offer a compassionate and understanding ear to both autistic adults and parents/caregivers of autistic children.

  • Through my personal life journey, I have navigated the challenges of PTSD stemming from childhood trauma and this lived experience enables me to connect with others navigating similar paths.

  • Being someone deeply rooted in the Christian faith, I can approach conversations about individual's spiritual beliefs and faith with genuine respect and compassion. Experiences of my personal journey of faith allows me to connect with others navigating through their own spiritual paths.

Accessing therapy can be daunting, but I strive to create a friendly and approachable environment. I will work to quickly put you at ease, ensuring you feel welcome and safe, as you talk about the challenges you are experiencing, in confidence.
